The toughest job I have EVER had is being a Mom. Especially as a person with Anxiety. I have worked with many Moms and two things stand out most: 1. They love their children fiercely 2. They are always worried about their children I created a Facebook Group for Moms of teens to offer support through validation, community, empathy and education. I invite you to join us, click on the image above and you will be directed to the group.

THE PSYKO THERAPIST brand was born to help de-stigmatize and normalize mental health & wellness. I believe mental health & wellness ought to be attended to daily. The Psyko Therapist encourages you to put the FUN in dysfunction by using humor, honesty, authenticity, awareness and education. I believe in advocating like a mental health warrior. I believe in re-defining perspectives and belief systems to be ALL inclusive; everyone gets to participate in mental health....EVERYONE. I believe in making friends not war. I believe in compassion and kindness. I believe in education and advocacy. I believe the way to change the world is through compassionate connection and, I believe in human kindness. I believe our opportunity to learn and grow is more important than fighting against negative or hateful believe systems. I believe in making friends with stigmas and enemies. I believe in compassion and respect. I believe in human resiliency and the power of intention. I believe in empowering people through education, inspiration, authenticity, validation, and new perspectives. I believe laughter neutralizes anxiety & stress.
Jax Anderson, LPC (She/Her/Hers)
My belief and intention: to educate, empower, motivate and inspire. I enjoy working with people of all ages; however I have a special passion for teenagers and young adults.
YES! I am a licensed professional counselor; the state of Wisconsin gave me the official document years ago.
I have always been told I 'beat to the rhythm of my own drum'. I used to think that was a criticism until I realized it was a genuine 'I wish I had her guts' sentiment. I embraced my uniqueness and started my brand The Psyko Therapist.
It is true, I do things differently; but most importantly, I DO things. I accept challenges with an 'I can do this' mentality, where others may shy away from those challenges. I love perspectives, seeing things differently and empowering others to see things differently as well.
I get work done with commitment and passion. When it comes to my work, I have always said, I want the rejects, the misfits, the bullied, the quiet ones, the unique, the ones who think differently....they are my tribe; the ones given up on by others... I see you for who you are. I have faith in your truth. I believe in your power, and I am honored & humbled by your permission to hold your hand on the beautiful journey to your core.... ~Jax~
I where many hats. I am a mom, daughter, wife, sister, friend, professional counselor, photographer, and a former division one college basketball athlete. As a professional counselor, I believe I am blessed to have the honor and privilege to bear witness to the incredible persistence and bravery the human spirit is capable of when embarking on a healing journey.
I have the utmost admiration and respect for my client’s; they gift me trust allowing me to walk their beautiful journey to their core, their truth. I believe in human resiliency and motivation; when hiring me, you not only hire a professional counselor, you hire an ally. My focus is on your individual journey; my energy and efforts are spent meeting you where you are, not moving you into a certain therapy technique. I believe together we will design a strategy that suits your individual needs. I believe in inspiring, motivating and empowering as many people as possible. Healing may not be easy or simple, but I guarantee it's.... A Beautiful Journey.
